Man flu

That’s the reason I’ve not been on much the last few days. I’ll catch up with everyone’s post I’ve missed eventually, but it’s been a regime of medicine and early nights the last few days.
There was a brief bit of sunshine this afternoon, so on with the big coat, and a halfhearted walk round a bit of the lake for some fresh air. Not sure it did me any good, but it was good to get away from these four walls for a while.
So a few pictures. First one from last Sunday morning, and the other three, in today’s sunshine.

Mrs Blackbird, eating berries

Right, medicine and sleep I think. Have a good weekend.

  8. Take care of yourself, Keith! The blue skies in your photos are nice to see; we have been living in fog for a number of days here in southern Minnesota.

    cheers,

  9. I have my fingers crossed so I do not to get the "Man Flu". It knocks me out for a week atleast! I hope you get to feeling better. Watch a few movies, have some soup etc... You know all that stuff your mother did for you when you were a child. Mr. Bullfinch is looking rather colorful. I really like that picture. Get some rest.

  11. Poor old Keith. I think you will be pleased to see the back of this year. Any excuse for a night nurse eh ;) Hope you soon throw it off.

The Bullfinch in the autumn sunshine is a real bobby dazzler.

  12. Sorry you are not too well at the moment Keith, I do hope you feel much better soon. It certainly hasn't affected your photographic expertise though ;) All the photos are really beautiful. What a treat to see the Bullfinches, they are a very rare sight for me these days.

  14. Mrs Bullfinch is beautiful in her prominent dress, isn't it?
Keith, I wish you to be better as soon as possible, this autumnal time unfortunatelly brings a lot of virous infections and illnesses. Take care and have a rest. Best regards.

  15. Beautiful series Keith. I love the bullfinch couple... The male shot is awesome... Here no birds pictures neither but this is rather due to the light condition and the presence of very few birds!!

  23. Thank you to everyone who has a left a comment, and good wishes whilst I've been away from blogging the last few days. It means a lot. This flu bug is certainly tiresome. Thankfully it wasn't the 'pig' version; just the regular type.
Against all the best advice though, (sorry mum, but I’d have gone mad), I did venture out for a few hours some days, in my big coat and hat, but was whacked when I got home. I’ve never slept so much lol
Mornings and evenings always seem to be the lowest point when you’re ill for some reason.
Feeling much better now though; enough to have to return to work anyway. The bills still come demanding to be paid.
I’ll get a post up soon, and a few pictures from the last few days, although this is turning into a mini post of its own.
Thank you all again, and I’ll eventually get round and catch up on everyone.
