Some days I just wanna shout or scream……

….and others I can’t even be bothered to do that.
.
.
Still getting the chest pains, and still waiting to hear from Oxford, about the ‘scan’. It’s been 3 weeks now, and I was told at the time, could be up to 4 weeks.
So I rang Milton Keynes hospital, to see if they had any information. A rather bored and indignant receptionist told me, ‘it’s all been sent to Oxford’.
I rang Oxford.
.
A more pleasant and helpful woman checked, and after another call to another department, I was told, ‘yea, the stuff came yesterday.’
.
Now I know they’re busy, but does it take 18 days to forward information?
.
17 weeks on, and I still aint sorted.
.
Well, despite chest pains, and feeling bloody tired all the time, I’ve still got out most days to take pictures. But even the ‘spark’ seems to have left at the moment. I’ll post just a few for now; random stuff.
.
I’ll try and catch up with everyone, but I may take a break from here for a few days.
.
And my old cat finally lost the fight for survival last week. I miss her, even though she used to bite me if I stroked her for too long.
I loved her attitude.

.

A fighter to the end.

  1. Sorry it's been a hard time. I understand how it feels to lose a pet-friend, even one that chews on you now and again. I'm glad you've got people on your heart mystery, though. I'm also glad you haven't given up on your art. I'll miss your work while you rest. Take care of yourself, and best wishes from way over here.

  2. Sorry about the cat Keith. Even sorrier about you. Keep on keeping on.
The last image is one I wish I had taken. We are off to the pub now! Suggest you do the same. Nowt like a couple or four pints of the falling down water to distort ones perspective on life.

  3. Sorry to hear about the cat.
    Hopefully you cherish the memories.
I hope the health thing sorts itself out; it's all very irritating dealing with diagnostics, isn't it?

    Love the photos : )

It really is horrid that you have to be a squeeky wheel to get thing moving! Seriously makes me very angry that here you are waiting for something that important and it takes that long to pass along results...and that you had to chase it down!!! Geesh hon...send me the number I will light a few fires for you!!!
That said...I am sorry you are feeling punk and hope it gets sorted soon.. and with good results!
Your pictures are stunning. Poor ole kit...so sorry hon!! I love the weasle...so cute!!
Hang in there and sending a bit of Reiki your way!! Hugs, Sarah

  5. 18 days is fast compared to some departments at local hospitals here Keith but it seems a lifetime when you are waiting for things to be over and done with. If your body says rest then go with the flow even if it is boring. Glad you are able to get out a bit anyway and the photos are brilliant as always.

  6. Dear Keith,

I'm so sorry about your cat. I'm sure she had the best life with you. :)

I wish I had something clever to say about what you're going through, or some words of wisdom to hang on to. I don't. All I can say is I'm praying for you.

    Hugs from across the pond,
    Jen

  8. Hi Keith, Sorry to hear about your cat. It terrible when you loose a pet evne if they lived to a good age.

Ref the Hospital, Perhaps these administrators are concerned about what is coming up behind them shortly, (The sack) so they should be, as there are far too many of them and half don't know what the other half are doing most of the time.
I found recently that its no good leaving a message for someone, (with someone else) as the message never gets passed on. Typical I'm afraid.

  15. Well, for not being in the mood, you certainly put together a lovely post. I am so sorry about your cat; they can bring so much comfort to your life and then leave such a big void when they are gone.

I hope you hear from Oxford soon. I can't imagine the angst of waiting so long. You are in my thoughts and I am sure in the thoughts of many others who read you regularly. The reflections photo is a beautiful and fitting end to your post.

  18. I'm sorry to hear about your cat :/. Also, I hope you start to feel better as well and that the hospitals stop taking their time getting back to you. I know it's always a real pain waiting to hear back from them...keep resting and I'll look forward to seeing future pics!

  20. Well I can't say I'm surprised at the snail pace NHS system, my mums been very poorly for about 2 and a half years and they ain't got her sorted yet either. It's a case of melt down at the new super hospital in Blackburn, different departments don't seem to be able to communicate with each other or cope with the high number of patients. Hope you have better luck soon. Your cat was a bit of a looker and character by all accounts sorry to hear she's passed away. Chin up fella

  21. Keith - you scream and shout all you want. I'm thinking of you a lot these days and just hope the hospitals can get you sorted very soon. Sorry to hear about your cat - she sounds as though she was quite a character...

I love your pics as usual and I'm sure that spark will come back before too long..

Take care my friend and we'll see you when you feel like it x

  23. So sorry you are still having such a tough time, Keith and that you lost your old pal. It never gets any easier losing a pet however many times it happens.

I do hope it won't be too much longer before the hospital sorts you out. It is very annoying when these things take so long especially when you are feeling so unwell.

Your photos are as beautiful as ever, I particularly love the Weasel and the Grebes.

Take care Keith, get plenty of rest and come back to us when you feel able, I will be thinking of you and wishing you well.

  35. Oh,I`m so sorry to hear about your trouble with the hospital! I hate this kind of "slow working" in the health systems. I can understand your frustration about this things very well. And than, the lost of your old cat - the wonderfull white lady - I feel with you and I`m sad about hearing that. But I´m sure, that she´s looking on your head from the cat heaven.
Please take care of you and try to catch some magical moments...... Best regards from Luzia.
