The falling leaves. It doesn’t seem that long ago we were shivering in a very cold winter; and now it’s wearing down the months, to make its way back.

Thank goodness for the butterflies at the moment; something to take pictures of while the birds are being shy. I did manage to find a Heron the other day; but one picture, and he was off.

.There’s been plenty of Common Blue’s around this year.

.Maybe plenty next year too. This is all they seem to be doing at the moment. Maybe I could come back as a butterfly……………

Yeah but what a good shot it is of Mr Heron, really like the background too on this one. The butterflies have been great I've managed a few myself but not as many as you. The green veined b is beautiful, pity I've only seen it in the id books

Keith, this year Im very ready for fall to arrive its been a very hot humid muggy summer and Im ready for a change, of course in your neck of the woods fall and winter means cold and you'll be stuck inside for me its just the opposite, Ive been stuck inside almost 3 since June 1 so Im ready to get back outside and not feel like Im gonna keel over from heat stroke. That little Common blue is everything but common, such lovly shots!! Hope you are feeling well today --Im off to do some shopping later not my favorite thing but it has to be done!!
