Another weekend

Another weekend upon us; they come round so quick. The days must be getting shorter; or I’m getting older.

An early morning scene, a few days ago, from my local lake.

A lovely time of the year.

And a few birds for the weekend,

Blue Tit

Mrs Pheasant

Mr. Chaffinch

and a Grey Heron, flying into the morning sun.
Have a great weekend.

  1. I love the first shot. tranquil, peaceful. I can hear the sounds of nature sitting there.

  2. realy great pic, I love them all, most favorite is the first one, it s realy specially.
    big hugh Kathrin

  3. I don't think you're getting old, cause that would make me old, and the weekends around here come awful quick too!

    I love that first one, especially. :)

  4. Excellent Keith you have certainly got a stunning shot with the image of the Dawn Breaking, like the TreeCreeper to. Yes it is getting colder however,enjoy your weekend

    Thank you Kathrin. Glad you enjoyed that one.

    Thanks Jen. Some days I feel 'ancient!' lol

    Thank you Bob. The first one is a favourite of mine too :)

    Thanks Roy, glad you like that one :)

  7. Oh my God... this early morning scene is simply gorgeous! Wonderful photo - I love it:)

  8. It seems there is a consensus that your first photo is something special! It is a great scene to get lost in for a bit.

  9. What a beautiful scene, the mist sells everything. Really fantastic Blue Tit, Nuthatch, Treecreeper and your favourite, the Pheasant.

  10. This is the time of mystic atmosphere we see in your phantastic first pic. But I love the birds, too. Wish you a nice sunday with a lot of sun. Hugs from Luzia.

  12. Love that foggy early morning shot you got...its wonderful!! ALl the bird shots are excellent in this post, that's a great close up of the chafinch!

  13. Hi Keith...Hope the first half of your weekend has been good to you!!
    The misty morning photo draws me into a place of serenity!! "Nice"
    I also like cute Mrs.Pheasant and the Grey Heron as he takes flight!!
    Keith your not getting older!! Its this fast pace world we live in....people are running here and there so fast they have made the earth turn faster !! ; }
    If I say your getting old that means I have to admit I am to!! ; }
    Whats with all these "hugs" you keep getting from the ladies??? ; }

  14. Thanks Dixxe. There's a place near here, where people leave seed out for the birds. They have become so used to people over the years, it's possible to get really close to them. The Chaffinch was one of them.

    Thanks Grammie. (no hug? lol)
    The first picture seems very popular

  15. Lovely shots as always - a great one of the lake especially.
