The beauty of the Lake District

A few more from the visit at the beginning of the week.

I'm not really a landscape picture taker, but I hope I've managed to capture the beauty of the place with these.

I'll kick off with a hill.

The rest are Ullswater.

And I'll finish with a bird.

 The Dipper

Enjoy the day.

I hope the sun is shining where you are.

Wonderful scenic shots Keith and I really like the low angle. My daughter & grandson used to live in the lake district and I never tire of seeing it.. such a beautiful part of the country.

And the dipper..... my "much wanted" bird...
Glad you had a good time :D

Wow what a finish!!! Great job on this nice dipper shot Keith, but let me tell you something, you are quite good at landscape and should do that more ;-)

Beautiful set of pictures Keith. It's a great part of England, the last time I was there was about six years ago. :-{

Maybe next years holiday is being planned already!

Super Dipper shot btw. Do they still 'dip' when they stand on one leg?

That made quite a change from your usual haunt Keith. Lovely peaceful scenery with the added bonus of a new bird.

Cheers Frank. I'm sure you'll have an equally good time. A fantastic place.

Thank you Lucy. Have a great Easter too; and if you come to England, give me a call ;)

Thanks dAwN. It is a beautiful place.

Tricia, it is a beautiful place. The Dipper was a special encounter for me. :)

Thanks John. Great company in a great place.

Chris, thank you. Maybe I should try landscape more often :)

Thanks Horst. A wonderful place. :)

Thank you Jean. I want to go back already lol

Bob, thank you. The Dipper was a great poser. :)

Nicole, thank you :)

Thanks Trevor. It really is a spectacular place.
The Dipper certainly 'dipped', and I managed to watch him while he searched for food under water. A great experience.

Pescalune, thank you. It certainly was beautiful. The campsite was in a wood, with a stream too. Perfect. ;)

Thanks John. Very different to my local, and very enjoyable.

love the dipper and the lakes are great aren't they? have you been to Bassenthwaite to see Osprey and if you're lucky Red Squirrel on the feeders at the observation point

Beautiful images of a lovely part of the world.
I have walked all the tops you show.
Great post.

Pete, it is a beautiful part of the country. Only stayed at Ullswater for a few days, but I'd love to go back sometime. No Osprey or Red Squirrel this time.

Andrew, I can only imagine how breathtaking the view must be from up there. It would certainly take my breath getting up there lol
