End of the year show

It's that time; give or take a couple of days.

This year has got to be one of the best I've had. Had some great days out with Trevor, some great mornings round the local lake, and some excellent visits to north Wales.
Met a lot of people there, and made some good acquaintances.
I've seen some fantastic birds, and seen some great animal behaviour.

I'll post a couple of pictures I've not posted before, but the main thing is the video.
At 13 minutes it's a bit on the long side, but persevere, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it all together.

I've tried to cram as much into it as possible, so pour yourself a drink of your choice, sit back, and I do hope you enjoy it.

Buzzard

Knott

Slavonian Grebe

Red Admiral

and now, some of the highlights.

See you all in 2013; hopefully.

  4. Super review of the past year Keith. Lots of special moments and some beautiful images, not too sure about that old geezer getting out of breath and struggling to stand up!...lol

And there were a few glimpses of the sun in there somewhere, just goes to show it didn't rain for the whole year, just most of it!!!

Lets hope that next year will be just as good, or even better...I'm looking forward to it already!...[;o)

  12. What a very enjoyable compilation Keith and so beautifully put together, you really have had a remarkable wildlife year. I think I spied Trevor enjoying the Lavender! Thank you for including the Heron and that lovely little singing Robin and it was lovely to see Jim enjoying his holiday in Wales too.

  17. I thoroughly enjoyed the 13 minutes of the video having fun. It was a great idea to compile it. Was the emerald green bird which flashed in one of the shots (3:11) a kingfisher?

Good luck in your new adventures in 2013! :)

Thanks Roy. I can only hope next year will be as good; apart from all the rain lol

Thanks Tricia. And all the best to you too.

Thanks Petra. Yea, the quick flash at that point was a Kingfisher leaving its nest. Sadly it got flooded out a couple of weeks later.

Thanks Sondra. I can thoroughly recommend being footloose lol
I'm glad you've enjoyed sharing my year, and it was sad losing Jim this year; but he had great times in Wales, and I've some lovely memories and video of him.
All the best for next year.
