Waxwings

Special birds for a special day.

A large group have checked in at the Hilton Hotel, just down the road from me, so after wandering the local lake this morning, I stopped off to take some pictures.

I took hundreds.

Here's a few I've sorted so far, and a short video at the end.

  7. Well done Keith, it seems like you and I had a similar day. Though by the looks of things you had a lot more Waxwings and a better result too.

  8. Merry Christmas Keith, and all the best for 2013. Haven't seen a waxwing up here in Durham yet (although all the local bloggers have loads of pics) - still hoping a flock of waxwings might take a fancy to the crab apples in our garden. All the best, Phl
