Some Warblers ............. and others

The last few days have been quite warm and sunny here; apart from today, it's raining.
But when the sun shines, it seems to bring out the birds, and at the moment, a lot of them are in fine voice.

Chiffchaff

Willow Warbler

Blackcap

Whitethroat

Wren

Spring migration is in full swing too, with Swallows and Martins skimming over the local lake.

Swallow

Sand Martin

House Martin

The next bird is a bit bigger .............

Jay

The spring flowers are bursting into bloom now.

Garden Yellow-archangel; probably a garden escapee

Cuckooflower

Common Cornsalad

Meadow Buttercup

Bulbous Buttercup

And a few butterflies on the wing too

Orange Tip, enjoying some Garlic Mustard

But one of my favourite spring/summer birds at this time of the year though, is the Yellow Wagtail; an absolute stunner, glowing in the sunlight.

Enjoy the rest of your week
