Update 5

First of all a very happy new year to anyone that stumbles across this over the next few days.

Let's hope 2018 is better than the last one ........................ can't be any worse, can it?

I couldn't be arsed doing another video, so a few words instead.

I have a new date for the operation, 24th January; if it's not changed again.

At the moment I'm in north Wales, relaxing as best I can and spending some time with Whisky, his 2 doggy friends, 1 of his brothers and my very good friend, Jan.

Enjoy your day.

  2. Hi Keith, firstly I do hope 2018 is much better for you than 2017.
For personal reasons I have not been able to keep up with everyones blog recently and have missed all this.
What I need to say is you really need to stop delaying your attendance at the hospital and get down there as soon as you can.
There has been and is cancer in my immediate family, which although seemed the end of the World to me on more than one occasion has been sorted out.
Delaying treatment is not an option for anyone and what you have can be sorted, so get your arse down to that hospital.

  4. Glad you gave everyone this up date and I am so glad you are spending time in your beloved Wales with your good friend and all the dogs. All the best for the operation Keith.

  5. Cheers Adrian. Yea, hopefully this one doesn't get cancelled.

Thanks Roy. The score for cancellations is hospital three, me one. I think that puts them in the lead at the moment. I'm well aware of the seriousness of the cancer, having lost my dad to it when I was a kid, a couple of friends to it in the past, and also an aunt that had bowel cancer and died. It wasn't a decision to cancel with less than 36 hours notice, that I took lightly. I'll be there, geared up and ready again on the 24th though. :-)

    Thanks Bob. Soon be here.

Thank you Margaret. Yea, seeing Whisky again was a priority for me. It's a big operation and because of my past history of the heart attack, being strong enough to come out of the anesthetic is a big concern for them, so it was important for me to make this visit while I could.

  6. Sorry for the late response (a story for another time!)
Glad you managed to get up to Wales Keith, I know how much you were missing Whisky, it's the best place for you to be at the moment. Time to relax and build up those positive thoughts.
    My thoughts are with you.

  7. Cheers Trev. This will just be a short visit this time, but like you say, I was really missing Whisky. He was certainly pleased to see me.
