  1. Good to hear from you Keith. You are far braver than I am. Keep plugging away. Have a birthday drink from me. All the very best.

  2. Thanks Adrian, good to hear from you. Not sure about brave, I'm just bumbling along at the moment. Hopefully by next year it will all seem just like a distant memory.

  6. Thanks for another update Keith and welcome to the exclusive club of ostomy pouch wearers.
Have you got yourself a RADAR key yet? The one which opens the doors for 'disabled' toilets.
I got mine free from my local council offices, just had to show proof I was eligible. (I used the discharge paper from hospital)
When a toilet is needed when out and about it's nice to have access to an area which is clean and roomy and know you can't be disturbed.
Belated wishes for your birthday and for your forthcoming treatment. I'll raise a glass to you when out for my meal at a local hostelry.

  7. Thanks John. I'll have to look into this radar key thing; thanks for the tip. Things seem to be moving along a bit now, at long last.

    1. Apparently RADAR is an older name for them. Now known as NKS (National Key System) keys. They open about 10,000 toilets around the country. The keys are large so I have mine on a lanyard for easy carrying. Those of us with ostomy pouches are entitled to use these facilities.
